Mexico is moving in the right direction: Governor Juan Manuel Carreras
After going to Mexican president’s “Informe Presidencial” (State of the Union Address), Governor Juan Manuel Carreras said that Mexico is on the right track, strengthening social justice and institutions, through reforms that have transformed the country.
As an example, Carreras pointed to the over than 3 billion dollars that have arrived to San Luis Potosi in investments, creating jobs, with unparalleled indicators for the state.
After the presidential address concluded, the state governor declared that joint institutional work, turns into more families with better living condition, lowering extreme poverty and poverty levels and he thanked the federal government for the help in achieving this with thousands of Potosino families.
Public works are stagnant: Mexican Construction Industry Chamber (CMIC)
Marco Antonio Uribe, president of the Mexican Construction Industry Chamber (CMIC), said that there is no federal money in public works in San Luis Potosi, “We’re stagnant” he declared.
He added that construction companies are having trouble in San Luis Potosi, which could cause several small ones to close down and he explained that 60 % of small and medium sized construction companies are at risk.
“We’re talking of a 60% deficit in resources for public works”, which causes, he mentioned, a work shortage.
Federal Tourism Secretary, to visit San Luis
Enrique De la Madrid, Federal Tourism Secretary, will visit San Luis Potosí for the swearing in of the State Gastronomic Cabinet.
This event will take place in the Convention Center of San Luis Potosi and will be presided by the state governor.
The visit is part of the “Ven a Comer” (Come to Eat) campaign, which seeks to promote the gastronomy of the different states, as a tourist attraction.
