Octavio Pedroza, a traitor that does sh… for San Luis: Senator Jorge Preciado
In a press conference in Matehuala, before federal deputy Marco Gama’s legislative work report in Matehuala city in San Luis Potosi, Jorge Luis Preciado, Senator for the State of Colima, directly accused potosino senator Octavio Pedroza of being a “traitor” to the National Action Party (PAN) and doing nothing for the state of San Luis Potosi.
“Octavio Pedroza sold himself to the PRI in exchange for a Senate’s Vicepresidency, even though he had lost the internal PAN caucus election; we must give traitors a lesson and not let him win a ‘plurinominal’ (party list) representative position in the State Congress”, Preciado pointed out.
He also said that Pedroza is lazy “He says he works a lot in Mexico City, but here in San Luis he’s done sh…” and that he only came back five years later, because elections are getting close and because the PAN state president invited him, “we really should remember who are the opportunistic traitors, those whose word of honor means nothing and not let them get to the State Congress”, he sentenced.
Peña Nieto and Carreras’s Governments, the best ‘calling cards’ for 2018: Institutional Revolution Party (PRI)
Martín Juárez Córdova, state president of the Institutional Revolution Party (PRI) said that his party is getting ready for the 2018 elections, in which the Mexican president, federal and State Congress and the 58 Municipalities will change.
About polls that show the PRI down against other parties, Martín Juárez emphasized that they are working correctly to set up the best scenarios to win in the upcoming elections.
He added that good governments are always the best calling cards for a political party, “our best cards are President Peña Nieto and Governor Juan Manuel Carreras, who’ve given us good results for all potosinos”.
He assured that because of the work that’s been done, over 77 thousand potosinos have gone out of extreme poverty, with more development, work, education and health opportunities in San Luis Potosí.
We’re not against Uber, we’re against ‘pirate’ (gipsy) taxis: Cab drivers
Alfacero taxi drivers’ organization leader, Óscar De la Rosa, said that cab drivers are not against Uber, but against “pirate” taxis (gipsy cabs). He pointed out that there are at least three thousand sedans in the metro area of San Luis Potosi, that offer transportation and are not registered in the state Communications and Transportation Department (SCT).
De la Rosa considered that, even though they’ve given proof of these irregularities, the SCT has shown no interest in solving the problem, “We’ve done it in writing, innumerable times for over fifteen years and authorities can’t act, since they seem to be ‘toothless’”.
He emphasized that if their demands are not answered, they’ll start a campaign, with bumper stickers first, before escalating their protests to other levels.
